VOTE BY MAIL

Mail-in Ballot

Any qualified voter may apply for a mail-in ballot. You may simply request this ballot without a reason.

Absentee Ballot

If you plan to be out of the municipality on election day or if you have a disability or illness, you should request this ballot type, which still requires you to list a reason for your ballot.

Deadline

Mail-in and absentee ballot applications for the November 3, 2020, general election must be received by your county election office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Applications and ballots may be delivered to your county election office by the deadline. Contact your county election office for their hours of operation.

County Mail-in/Absentee Ballot Information

Montour County

  • Ballot applications MUST be received by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
  • Follow all instructions carefully for returning your ballot. Ballots can be dropped off in person at the Montour County Commissioners Office, 253 Mill Street, Danville Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Accepting ballots from 8:30 am to 8 pm on Election Day. It is not permitted for a person to hand-deliver the ballot of a spouse, family member, friend, etc.
  • If you decide to vote in person on Election Day instead of mailing in your ballot, you must bring your Mail-in Ballot to your polling location, surrender that ballot and you’ll be given a standard ballot.

Northumberland County

  • Ballot applications MUST be received by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
  • You may hand-deliver it to Board of Elections, 320 N 2nd St., Sunbury Mondays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 4:30 pm and 9 am to 8 pm on Election Day. An absentee voter or mail-in voter may only deliver his or her own ballot in person. It is not permitted for a person to hand-deliver the ballot of a spouse, family member, friend, etc.
  • Ballots may also be dropped off at the Sunbury Post Office, 135 N 3rd St, Sunbury until 8 pm on Election Day. An absentee voter or mail-in voter may only deliver his or her own ballot in person. It is not permitted for a person to hand-deliver the ballot of a spouse, family member, friend, etc.
  • If you decide to vote in person on Election Day instead of mailing in your ballot, you must bring your Mail-in Ballot to your polling location, surrender that ballot and you’ll be given a standard ballot.

Snyder County

  • Ballot applications MUST be received by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

  • You may personally deliver your mail-in ballot to the walk up window at the Snyder County Courthouse, 9 West Market Street in Middleburg from 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday and from 9:00 am to 8 pm on Election Day. It is not permitted for a person to hand-deliver the ballot of a spouse, family member, friend, etc.
  • If you decide to vote in person on Election Day instead of mailing in your ballot, you must bring your Mail-in Ballot to your polling location, surrender that ballot and you’ll be given a standard ballot.

Union County

  • Ballot applications MUST be received by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

  • You may personally deliver your mail-in ballot to 155 N. 15th Street, Lewisburg. All mail-in-ballots must be returned to the County Elections Office, 155 N.15th Street
    Lewisburg from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to 8:00 p.m. on election day. Please note that POSTMARKS DO NOT APPLY. It is not permitted for a person to hand-deliver the ballot of a spouse, family member, friend, etc.
  • If you decide to vote in person on Election Day instead of mailing in your ballot, you must bring your Mail-in Ballot to your polling location, surrender that ballot and you’ll be given a standard ballot.
