Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation’s 94.1 WQKX, a 50,000-watt HD radio station in Central Pennsylvania, is looking for an experienced air talent that is entertaining, relatable, knowledgeable and engaging and ready to lead as a PD. Experience in the Classic Rock, AC, Hot AC or CHR format is a plus. You’ll enjoy a quality of life in the college towns that make-up our metro area. Job Requirements are
· A proven track record of broadcasting success
· Having a strong work ethic with punctuality is a must
· On-air experience with excellent verbal and communication skills
· Ability to manage the overall sound of the station from all aspects
· Creativity with station imaging production
· Ability to relate and communicate with our audience
· Be engaging on air and provide compelling on-air content
· Versatility to work on other stations in the broadcast group with other formats as needed
· Creativity and willingness to invent new digital audio opportunities that include podcasts
· Be familiar with (or willing to learn) software such as AudioVault, Cool Edit Pro and additional broadcast audio software
· Conduct monthly airchecks of station personalities to develop talent
· Appear at regular approved station events and appearances
· Be approachable and interact with listeners on air and in live broadcast settings in a positive manner
· Skilled at voice editing for paid and non-paid commercial production
· Be a team player and have a cooperative attitude
· Be willing to host, appear and assist with charitable, civic and promotional events where the station is involved
· Willingness to appear at public and station events
· Light engineering routine maintenance a possibility
